Veteran Benefits Guide celebrates 10 years of being mission-ready

The industry leader marks a decade of duty to those who served

LAS VEGAS -June 2, 2025

This June, Veteran Benefits Guide proudly marks 10 years of serving the nation’s Veterans. Since its 2015 founding, the organization has helped more than 45,000 service members navigate the VA claims process and secure the accurate, maximum disability benefits they deserve.

Over the past decade, VBG has distinguished itself as a trusted leader in its industry through its steadfast commitment to exceptional service and ethical excellence. What began as a startup in a San Diego garage has grown into a nationally recognized operation with over 200 employees and a client base that spans the United States.

Now headquartered in Las Vegas, VBG was originally founded in Chula Vista, California, where it continues to maintain an office. As the company  was tackling the twists and turns typical of a new startup, its naming and branding evolved—though the founders and their mission to serve Veterans remained the same.

“Ten years ago, we set out with a single mission: to improve the lives of our Veterans,” said CEO and co-founder Josh Smith. “Guided by purpose and passion, we’ve made a real impact. We’re excited for the decade ahead—standing with those who served, delivering real results and driving meaningful change.”

VBG’s 10-year journey has been highlighted by major milestones, including:

  • Serving 45,000 Veterans
  • Relocating its headquarters to Las Vegas to accommodate and support growth
  • Surpassing 200 employees
  • Forming key community partnerships and sponsorships, with organizations such as the Vegas Golden Knights (2022-2023), Professional Bull Riders (2023, 2025-2027) and Reno Aces (2025)
  • Earning national and regional recognition, including being named a 2024 Military Times Best for Vets: Employers awardee and Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics finalist

Looking ahead, VBG plans to further expand its services and will continue to advocate for Veterans and the accessibility of their benefits. As the company reflects on 10 years of impact, it also will celebrate those who made the journey possible.

VBG is commemorating the decade of service with a yearlong celebration featuring exclusive events, spotlight stories across social media, a limited-edition anniversary logo, and unique experiences designed to thank clients, partners and team members.
